A CLOSER LOOK
“What do you see? What do you see in what you see? If you’d blink twice, could it be different?”
A choreographic parkour reveals alternative paths through the museum building, and suggests curious perspectives on what is in front of you. As your trajectory unfolds, much like a dot-to-dot game, careful coincidences gently invite you to discover new ways of seeing. You are accompanied on an attentive trajectory of the gaze, as you keep looking for the next thing.
Site specific performance in museums, for one or two participants at a time (possibly small groups of same household). Each round starts every hour, on the hour and lasts approximately 30 minutes. The performance is in English.
Developed in the context of Dancing Museums 2. Adaptations have been made for Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (NL) and Bundekunsthalle, Bonn (DE).
Research and choreography: Ingrid Berger Myhre
Collaboration and performance: Georgia Boddez, Ashley Ho, Maroula Iliopoulou, Ian Yves Ancheta, Hanne Kristine Jensen, Clotilde Cappelletti, Loïc Perela,
Support: Dansateliers Rotterdam, Dancing Museums.
